For the third time after Eurocorr2005 in Lisbon and Eurocorr2006 in Maastricht, maxit Group participated at this year’s Eurocorr2007 Corrosion Congress in Freiburg, Germany, from September 9th – 13th.
EUROCORR is Europe's leading event on corrosion and protection against corrosion. It is both a meeting place for specialists and a breeding ground for new research. Jon Håvard Mork, VP Civil Engineering of maxit Group, presented new research results about the CarboCath® anode’s potential stability. In addition, he spoke about the latest news of operating CarboCath projects in Europe.
At this year’s congress, special attention was paid to the topic of “Cathodic Protection of Steel in Concrete” which was a separate one-day session for the first time in Eurocorr’s history. This very positive signal and a high number of listeners confirmed the growing interest in concrete renovation using cathodic protection. Of course, news about maxit CarboCath® will again be presented at Eurocorr2008 in Edinburgh next year.
